    Singapore is a small developed island-city-state in Southeast Asia. It is located in the southern part of the Malay Peninsula, between Malaysia and Indonesia. The climate is Equatorial. There is always a lot of precipitation. The average annual minimum is +25 °C and the average annual maximum is +31.1 °C. The lowest temperature in the city was +20 °C, the highest- + 36 °C.

    Singapore is the world's second most densely populated country.
    The population is 5.5 million people. The majority of the population is Chinese — 76,8 %. The Malays of different origin are 13.9 per cent. Natives of India make up 7.9 %. Small groups are English, Arabs, Jews, Thais, Armenians, Japanese, and mestizos.
    Language
    The national language is Malay for historical reasons. The official languages are English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil. Since independence, residents have been actively using English.
    Chinese immigrants are divided into several groups and use several dialects, so different that it is almost impossible to understand each other.
    Religion
    33.2 % of the population profess Buddhism, 18.9 % are non-religious, 18.2 % adhere to Christianity, 14.0 % adhere to Islam, 11.0 % adhere to Taoism and Chinese beliefs, 5.0 % adhere to Hinduism. Over the past 20 years, only the proportion of Christians and non-believers has grown, the percentage of Muslims, Buddhists and other religions having decreased.
