to go up\ down the street

  • Люди, подскажите, пожалуйста, а как определяется, где у улицы "верх", а где "низ"?

  • Думаю, низ там, где начинается нумерация домов, а верх - где заканчивается.

  • so walking / going down the street means walking while the numbers rise and on the contrary walking down the street means that the numbers fall.

  • or sorry, at first I should have said 'walking / going up the street'.
