  Второй раз одно слово не употр в одном предложении. Negative one. Артикли a positive, a negative.либо так:
  The question is whether this trend brings a positive i or a negative influence.

  тогда артикль перед positive нельзя ставить наверное

  Просто i нельзя же писать Или я что-то не понимаю
