Beware of a silent dog and still water
Берегись молчащей собаки и тихой воды.
В тихом омуте черти водятся. Где река глубже, там она шумит меньше. Не бойся собаки брехливой, бойся молчаливой. Тих, да лих; криклив, да отходчив.
